Is it only February? Because I'm sure lifetimes have passed since New Year's Day.

Looking back over this blog, and its undertone of melancholy, I think it's important that I establish something—mostly to put my family and friends who are across the country at ease. It's pretty obvious, in hindsight, that I was dealing with some depression. I am clawing my way out of it—there is light visible. On a day-to-day basis, I'm ok. Some days are better than others, and they're usually the ones where we have sunshine.

On some days, I am stupendous.

Thank you for worrying/checking in. Silence doesn't mean things are bad, just that I'm busy or I'm thinking about things or I'm talking through with people not in a public space that archives what we discuss for future posterity.

Good to hear you're starting to feel better, sunshine. Big hugs and good wishes to you as always from the rainy island.

I am not a fan of February. It gets to me. I'm glad it's over. I hope things are better.
